Humanic History - HRMS & HRIS



Humanic formed as the result of a merger between Fiserv HRIS (founded in 1984) and Humanic Design Corporation (founded in 1982). Our teams have combined to bring you the benefit of our years of experience. Working with literally hundreds of different organizations from some of the very largest exceeding 175,000 employees to those with less then 100 employees, Humanic has solved many HR, payroll, and benefits challenges. We are bound to have faced your specific problem, and offered a successful solution many times before. The following are some historical highlights:

  • 1982—Humanic Design founded on the belief that HR software can add shareholder value to any organization. Its first product, Empire HRMS, was DOS-based.

  • 1987—Humanic Design introduces its first relational database product which formed the basis of the current offering.

  • 1991—Fiserv Corporation acquires Citibank's outsourced HR/Payroll group, which becomes Fiserv HRIS.

  • 1994—Fiserv HRIS begins to offer Business Process Outsourcing services to multiple clients.

  • 1994—Humanic Design introduces one of the first Windows based HRMS solutions in the U.S.

  • 1995—Fiserv HRIS begins hosting client applications.

  • 1999—Fiserv HRIS and Humanic Design join forces and becomes what is today, Humanic Solutions.

  • 1999—Humanic introduces its real time Employee and Manager Self-Service built from the ground up by the Humanic development team with feedback from the Client User Group.

  • 2000—Humanic introduces its Web based integrated HRMS/Payroll/Self-Service offering with drag and drop reporting.

  • 2000—Humanic offers its self-hosted Application Service Provider (ASP) solution.

  • 2001—Humanic becomes a Gores Technology Group company.
